Britton and Emnes injury blow

27th July

The Swans have been dealt a double blow with the news that Leon Britton and Marvin Emnes will both miss the start of the Barclays Premier League season with knee injuries.
Britton is suffering from a badly bruised bone in his knee, while Emnes has a meniscal (cartilage) problem.
Both players will have another scan in two weeks' time to assess the full damage. But the duo are not expected to make the opening league game of the season against Manchester United at Old Trafford on August 16.
