Britton targets a flying start for Swans

12th August

Leon Britton insists the Swans are determined to get their Premier League season off to a flying start despite facing a "massive test" in their opening game.
The Swans, who could hand debuts to summer signings Borja Baston, Fernando Llorente, Leroy Fer and Mike van der Hoorn, travel to Turf Moor on Saturday as they face newly-promoted Burnley on the opening day of the campaign.
Francesco Guidolin's side has prepared for the new campaign with five victories from six pre-season fixtures.
After picking up two wins and two draws from the opening league games last year, Britton is hoping the Swans can make a similar start to the 2016-17 season.

"It would be nice to start with a win. We started last season well and we will look to emulate that," said the midfielder.
"The pre-season results have been really good, although I don't know how much you can read into it. But the lads feel in good shape.
"The past four or five weeks have been a good workout for us. We're looking forward to kicking off now and getting going.
"Burnley is a difficult place to go. We know it's going to be a massive test, but we have to be ready for it.
"Any team that comes up from the Championship are tough to play against. We know how much it will mean to them to be back in this league.
"If we can come away with a win, we will all be pleased."

Please note, there are a very limited amount of tickets available from the Liberty Stadium Ticket Office for this game.
Supporters have until 5pm today (Friday) to purchase tickets in person at the Ticket Office. Fans are, however, advised to contact the Ticket Office on 0844 815 6665 first.
Swans fans can pay on the day at Burnley from the collection point near the away turnstiles.
