Caleb Demery relishing perfect start to life at Swansea City

New arrival Caleb Demery is relishing the "perfect" start to life at Swansea City after he netted a brace in the Under-21s' 4-1 win against Carmarthen Town.
The age-grade side progressed to the second round of the Nathaniel MG Cup following a convincing win over their JD Cymru South opponents, with Morgan Bates and Ramon Rees-Siso also on the scoresheet.
The 19-year-old was previously involved in Swansea City’s academy ranks up until under-13s' level, before making the switch to Welsh League football.
He recently returned to the Swans' ranks and he is off to a flying start after netting three goals in a week, scoring in the under-21s' friendly against Merthyr Town last Tuesday before his brace at the weekend.
"I'm buzzing to have helped the team get the win and progress to the second round, I'm buzzing to have started my time at Swansea like this," said Demery.
"'I'm glad I've gotten off the mark competitively after my goal against Merthyr in the week, and fair play to the boys for the performance, it was a real team effort.
"I know the boys reached the final a few years ago, and it would be incredible if we could replicate that with a different group of boys. A cup run is always great, especially for our development and for the club."
Demery is no stranger to the competition having spent the last two seasons at Briton Ferry Llansawel, where he scored five goals in 21 games in all competitions and played a vital role in helping The Ferry maintain their top-flight status last season.
"I feel like I have a bit of extra confidence going into these games against these teams, as they're teams and players I have come up against in the past," he added.
"These games are always a challenge, because usually the players are mainly senior and are very physical. It's always a good test. I hope we can continue this run."
