Connor Roberts won his second cap for Wales as Ryan Giggs’s team claimed a creditable goalless draw with Mexico.

Swansea City defender Roberts came on for the second half in the early hours of Tuesday morning in Pasadena, replacing Chris Gunter.

He helped Wales claim a clean sheet despite some significant pressure from the World Cup-bound Mexicans.

The second international appearance was another step forward for Roberts, who claimed his first cap at the China Cup in March having made the breakthrough at the Liberty Stadium in 2017-18.

The 22-year-old right-back made his senior Swans debut in January and went on to make another 10 appearances before the end of the season.

His Swans colleagues Joe Rodon and Daniel James were called up to the Wales squad ahead of the Mexico game, but neither featured in the game.
