Curt: You're Swans legends now

27th January

Alan Curtis has hailed the current Swans squad for taking the club beyond its wildest dreams, insisting: "You're all legends now."
The Swans claimed their place in the Capital One Cup final against Bradford City at Wembley on February 24 after seeing off European champions Chelsea in the semi-final.
In doing so, the Swans created history by reaching the showcase of a major competition for the first time in the club's history.
And Curt, himself a Swans legend following his successful time as a player as well as holding numerous roles at the club, has crowned Michael Laudrup's squad with the ultimate honour.
"These guys will go down as legends of this club. If we can win the final, it will be the biggest achievement within the club's 100-year history," said Curt, now First Team Coach at the Liberty.
"Getting into the First Division years ago and winning promotion to the Premier League was phenomenal, but if you can win a major trophy at Wembley then that would top it.
"It is beyond our wildest dreams."
Curt, who scored 95 goals from 359 league appearances for the Swans, has experienced all the highs and lows at the club - from Football League re-election to rising through the divisions.
In recent years the club has only tasted success, and victory at Wembley over the Bantams would be the Swans' first major piece of silverware.
The final will arrive just a few months short of the victory over Hull City ten years ago which saved the club's Football League status.
"It sounds crazy doesn't it? It has been an incredible journey," added Curt.
"In all my time at the club, there has probably been more lows than highs, but I must say when the highs have come along they have been incredible highs.
"So it's a fantastic achievement for us to reach a major cup final. It's building up to a fantastic day at Wembley."
