Cwmdu opening proves big success

Swansea City have today opened the club's new Development Centre at Cwmdu.
Club staff were on hand to coach young players and offer some training advice as children used the free open day to make use of the 3G pitches.
Club Ambassador Lee Trundle even turned goalkeeper to help children with their shooting skills with Cyril and Cybil the Swan also there to pose for pictures.
The location, on Cwmdu Industrial Estate, will provide soccer camps and training sessions to help develop young players aged five to 11.
The pre-Academy is open to footballers of all abilities with soccer camps starting fully tomorrow (Tuesday) from 9am to 2pm.
Academy Manager Nigel Rees said: "It's been a great launch, I'm really pleased we have been able to bring this facility back to use for the community after it was due to close.
"It's important to remember this Development Centre isn't just for elite young footballers, it's for young players of all abilities with our coaches on hand for training.
"So many families have come down today to get involved today, I'm confident Cwmdu will be a huge success."
Club Ambassador Lee Trundle also turned up to meet children and show off some of his skills.
He said: "This is massive, not just for the club but for the area as a whole.
"A facility like this will only encourage more youngsters to get involved with sport and it could help us find some stars of the future.
"I've been working on skills and playing a mini penalty shoot-out with a number of the kids today and you can see already there is some strong talent out there."
Rhiannon Gabriel brought her three children to the open day and told us she was impressed with the new facility.
"I think it's really good, it's going to be a great training location for children to come and play football. 
"I've brought my two sons and daughter here today and they love it."
Swans Development sponsors Eteach also told us they were impressed with the new location.
Rod Bowen said: "We are delighted to be involved with this and really proud of our partnership with the Swans Development Centre.
"I think the facilities are fantastic and it's great to see Swansea City developing as a club, representing the region and local community and that is why we have this partnership with them."
