Frank Lampard made his Swansea City debut after joining on loan from West Ham on this day in 1995.

The Swans ran out 2-0 winners against Bradford City in Division Two with Steve Torpey scoring a brace.

Bobby Smith was in caretaker charge of the Swans following Frank Burrows’ resignation.

Lampard would go on to make nine appearances for the Swans, scoring his first senior goal in a game against Brighton before returning to West Ham the following January.

The midfielder went on to have an illustrious career, of course, making more than 400 appearances for Chelsea and earning 106 caps for England.

He has recently taken his first step into management at Derby County.
