ON THIS DAY: Tight tussle at Tranmere

24th November

Tranmere 0-1 Swans
League One: Saturday, November 24, 2007

The Swans continued their quest for promotion from League One with a 1-0 win at Tranmere in a tight tussle at Prenton Park.
The hosts were kept at bay by Swans keeper Dorus de Vries, who was called into action on a number of chances while Calvin Zola, Chris Greenacre, Ian Goodison and Shane Sherriff all wasted gilt-edged chances for Tranmere.
And the Swans' efforts were rewarded in the final ten minutes as Andy Robinson's cross was steered into his own net by Steven Jennings.
Later that season, Roberto Martinez's side would go on to lift the League One title by a margin of ten points, with Nottingham Forest in second.
