Donnelly completes Tranmere loan

8th January

Swansea City youngster Rory Donnelly has completed a season-long loan deal with League Two club Tranmere Rovers, subject to international clearance.
The 22-year-old, who joined the Swans from Cliftonville in January 2012, will spend the rest of the season with the Prenton Park outfit, whom the Swans beat last weekend in the FA Cup.
Donnelly, who has represented Northern Ireland at Under-21 level, made his Swans debut during the club's successful Capital One Cup campaign as he came off the bench in the 3-2 win at Crawley in September 2012.
The following season he impressed during the club's pre-season tour of Holland as he netted a nine-minute hat-trick in the 10-0 win over Haaglandia. He followed that up by earning his first start in the Europa League defeat against Romanian side Petrolul Ploiesti.
Donnelly is now available for selection for Saturday's trip to Morecambe as Micky Adams' side look to climb out of the relegation zone in League Two.
