Duo set for first-team return

16th January

Roland Lamah and Dwight Tiendalli are set to give the Swans a double boost for Sunday's clash with Tottenham Hotspur at the Liberty (1.30pm).

Belgian international Lamah trained on Wednesday following an abductor strain while Dutchman Tiendalli is expected to be back on the training pitch today as he nears his full return from a hamstring problem.

And in a potential further boost, wingers Nathan Dyer and Pablo Hernandez have a chance of featuring against Spurs as they continue their comebacks.

Dyer has been sidelined with ankle ligament damage suffered in the 1-1 draw at Norwich last month while Hernandez pulled up with a hamstring strain in the New Year's Day defeat to Manchester City.

But they have not been ruled out of making a return to the squad for Sunday's Premier League clash with Spurs.

Meanwhile, Dutch international Jonathan de Guzman is expected to return to training next week following the ankle problem which ruled him out of last weekend's defeat at Manchester United, while countryman Michel Vorm is nearing his return.

Vorm, who has missed the last six games, should be involved in training next week after undergoing minor knee surgery.

Spanish international Michu, meanwhile, is to step up his recovery this week.

The 27-year-old underwent a successful ankle operation last month in Portugal, and he is expected to be back running this week.

Club captain Garry Monk is also continuing his rehabilitation from a knee problem while the club's physio team are waiting to discover the full extent of the ankle injury sustained by Jose Canas at Old Trafford last weekend.
