Emnes: Let's bounce back in the cup

22nd January

Marvin Emnes insists the Swans are relishing the chance to bounce back from last weekend's defeat against Chelsea.
The Swans travel to Ewood Park on Saturday to face Blackburn in the fourth round of the FA Cup - one week on from that 5-0 defeat at the hands of the Barclays Premier League leaders.
That result was the Swans' heaviest home loss since 1991, and Emnes is desperate to put things right in Lancashire.
"It would be nice to have a run in the cup," said the Dutchman, who played a key role in the 6-2 victory over Tranmere in round three. "We did well in the last round, scored a few goals and we're looking forward to Saturday after what happened against Chelsea.
"That was a disappointing result and hopefully we can put it right this weekend. You can't win every game, sometimes results like that happen from time to time.
"We couldn't dwell on it, we wanted to move on quickly and put it right for ourselves and for the fans."
Blackburn are currently tenth in the Championship table, eight points off the play-off places after a run of just one win in eight league games.
Gary Bowyer's side saw off Charlton in the last round, and Emnes hopes the Swans can put aside their league form and progress in the cup.
"We're not doing too badly in the league," he said. "We could be higher than ninth , but we're still in the FA Cup and hopefully we can go far and make it a good season.
"It doesn't matter who you play against, each team has their own style. We know what Blackburn are going to do, and we need to focus on our own game.
"It won't be easy, but if we show the right mentality then hopefully we'll win the game."
