Ex-Swan receives Queen's Award

21st April

Former Swansea City defender Alec Johnson has been awarded the Queen's Award for Enterprise in International Trade through his company TLC Marketing.
Johnson, CEO and co-founder of the company, was on the Swans' books as a young professional from 1987-91 and still follows the club religiously home and away.
With offices worldwide, including in Swansea, the international marketing agency teamed up with the Swans in 2014 to market the club on the global stage.
The Queen's Award for Enterprise is the most prestigious award a business can receive in the UK. It was granted to TLC in recognition of their successful growth into the Chinese, Brazilian and South African markets, as well as winning highly competitive industry awards in the UK, France, Italy and America.
Johnson and his business partner, Nick True, have now been invited by Her Majesty the Queen to Buckingham Palace for a formal presentation on July 14.
TLC Marketing is the world-leading provider in loyalty, incentive and reward campaigns.
"It's a truly humbling day and I want to thank each and every member of the TLC family,'' said Johnson. "Our international success is a result of our company culture and staff commitment.''
