Lukasz Fabianski applauded a fine team effort as the Swans banked a precious point in a hard-fought 0-0 draw against Tottenham Hotspur.

The Swans dug deep at Wembley to keep Spurs out at their temporary home, with Fabianski making some fine saves.

But the keeper was quick to point out the efforts of those playing in front of him as the Swans collected their third consecutive clean sheets in as many games on the road.

“Last weekend we had a bad result at home against Newcastle, so we needed to back that up with a better performance and result,” said the Polish keeper.

“Spurs has always been a tough opponent for us – history shows that - so to get a point against them is a good result.

“It was a very good effort from the team, especially from a defensive aspect.”

Fabianski also highlighted the impact boss Paul Clement has had on the side, particularly the defensive element of the team.

"He has made us a very compact team. It may sound pretty basic but he has given us the simple directions we need on the pitch,” added Fabianski.

“It has paid off particularly in the away games. We have three clean sheets in those matches, so we are very pleased with that.”
