Fernandez hoping for change in fortune

29th December

Federico Fernandez is hoping for a reversal of fortunes when Swansea City face Liverpool at Anfield on Monday (8pm).
The Swans suffered a late 2-1 defeat against Liverpool back in October in the fourth round of the Capital One Cup.
Fernandez himself was also on the receiving end of a controversial dismissal as he was shown a straight red card late in the game.
The Reds went on to earn victory and now the two sides meet for the first time in the league this season.
"Of course we weren't happy with the result in the cup," said Fernandez. "I also get a red card which was disappointing at the time.
"Hopefully we can go there on Monday and put on another good performance and get more points."
The Swans have enjoyed a positive festive period thus far, claiming back-to-back 1-0 wins against Hull and Aston Villa.
Fernandez returned to the starting line-up for the trip to the KC Stadium before Christmas and has formed a fine partnership with skipper Ashley Williams.
"As a defender it is always nice to keep clean sheets," he said. "I'm feeling good, but we have a lot to work on as a team and we are looking forward to it.
"I feel very comfortable alongside Ashley. We both study the game a lot and I hope we can keep this going.
"We were very happy with the win against Aston Villa. It was a difficult game, they are a strong team and played a lot of long balls. But we stood up to the test and got the win."
