Form book counts for nothing, says Monk

20th August

Garry Monk says the form book will count for nothing as Swansea City prepare to face Sunderland on Saturday (3pm).
The Swans travel to the Stadium of Light after taking four points from their opening two fixtures - including last weekend's victory over Newcastle.
They now face another side from the north east, with Sunderland having endured a difficult start to the campaign.
Dick Advocaat's side are still searching for their first point after back-to-back defeats against Leicester and Norwich, while Swansea have lost just once in their previous eight Premier League games against the Black Cats.

"We expect Sunderland to be more organised and have more determination," said Monk.
"They are in front of their own fans so we are expecting a difficult game - they have good players and a good manager who knows what he wants.
"I'm expecting a reaction from them and it makes it increasingly harder for us. But we are in good form, we are working in a good way and we're looking forward to the game.
"I'm confident in the players we have in the squad and we are stronger now and the levels of training have stepped up.
"It's very early in the season but I'm confident with this group moving forward."
