Ten-man Swansea dug in to claim a hard-earned point against Sunderland at the Stadium of Light.

In a pretty even opening at the Stadium of Light, which included half chances for either side, Sunderland came close to opening the scoring after ten minutes.
Following a cross from the right edge of the box that made its way to the far post, Adam Johnson rifled in a half volley that Lukasz Fabianski had to parry away at his near post.

With five minutes to play, Sunderland look destined to break the deadlock when Steven Fletcher met Ricardo Alvarez's cross from the left, but the Scot planted his header a fraction wide of the right-hand post.
But the visitors held on to claim a point which moved Garry Monk's side on to 10 points after six games.
