Gary Richards Swansea City under-23s

1st December

Coach Gary Richards has warned that Swansea City Under-23s can't be complacent when they meet Category Two side Bristol City in the Premier League Cup at Landore on Friday (2pm).
The young Swans are bottom of Group A with one point following a 0-0 draw at Newcastle United in September before a narrow 1-0 home defeat to Southampton last month.
The restructured competition sees the Swans play six group games with the top two sides progressing to the next round.
"There are still plenty of games to play in this competition," said Richards. "But we can't be complacent if we want to progress from the group.
"Any type of complacency will be punished and we want to maintain our recent run of good performances.
"I think we have been unlucky in this cup so far. Our performance in Newcastle was very good and I didn't think we deserved to lose against Southampton.
"Friday's game will provide another opportunity for more of our younger development players to continue to impress following our victory over Norwich this week."
