Get your application in for SwansAid
Applications are now being taken for the spring round of SwansAid funding.
With up to £10,000 of financial aid available, clubs, charities and organisations should apply before April 21 to be considered.
The spring round consists of three award classes:
- Ten sets of kits for sports organisations
- One large grant of up to £10,000
- Five small grants of up to £2,000
Recent winners of grants from SwansAid, which is now in its fourth year, include Swansea Storm, a local wheelchair basketball club, who used a £5,000 grant to purchase a bespoke wheelchair for one of their members, as well as training for coaches.
“It will really help the club go forward and achieve its goals,” said Swansea Storm’s manager James Coyle-King.
Any organisation that supports children and young people to become more active, as well as organisations that help adults and children with disabilities and their families to become more active, are eligible to apply for funding from SwansAid.
Due to the number of applications received, any organisation that has been awarded funds from SwansAid in the past three years will be ineligible for any funding in this round.
