Gomis joins Marseille on loan

29th July

Swansea City striker Bafe Gomis has joined French club Marseille on a season-long loan.
Gomis will spend the rest of the campaign with nine-times French league winners Marseille, who finished 13th in the top flight last season.
The French international has scored 17 goals in 71 games since joining the Swans on a free transfer from Lyon in 2014.

He scored four goals in the opening four matches last season as the Swans made a superb start to the 2015-16 Premier League campaign which included victories over Newcastle United and Manchester United.
The 30-year-old becomes the seventh Swan to leave the Liberty on loan, with Kyle Bartley, Matt Grimes (both Leeds), Ryan Hedges, Liam Shephard (both Yeovil), Josh Vickers (Barnet) and Oliver Davies (Kilmarnock) also making temporary moves.
Everyone at Swansea City would like to wish Bafe good luck for the rest of the season.
