Gower joins Charlton on loan

14th March

Swans midfielder Mark Gower has today joined Championship side Charlton Athletic on loan until May 4.
Gower has found first-team appearances hard to come by this season following the signings of Ki Sung-Yueng, Jonathan de Guzman and Michu.
The 34-year-old has featured just three times under Michael Laudrup, his last outing coming in the Capital One Cup win at Crawley in September.
He joins a Charlton side currently in 12th in the Championship and ten points off the play-off spots.
Gower took part in his first training session with the Addicks this morning, and is available for selection for Saturday's home derby with Millwall.
The former Spurs trainee joined the Swans on a free transfer from Southend in 2008, and helped the club to the Premier League via the Championship Play-Off Final three years later.
He made 20 appearances in the top flight last season as the Swans finished 11th in their debut campaign in the Premier League.
His early form at the Liberty also saw him named as the most creative midfielder in Europe during the opening months of the season.
