Gylfi Sigurdsson ready to hear the Liberty roar again

7th August

Gylfi Sigurdsson is ready to hear the Liberty roar once again as the Swans face Villarreal in their final friendly encounter on Saturday (3pm).
The Icelandic midfielder makes his first appearance as a Swan at the Liberty since his successful loan spell at the club in 2012.
Sigurdsson scored seven goals in 18 top-flight appearances as the Swans finished 11th in their first season in the Barclays Premier League.
He returned to the club on a permanent move last month from Tottenham Hotspur, and he's already shown his quality by scoring two goals in as many pre-season fixtures for the Swans.
And now he looks forward to experiencing the Liberty atmosphere once again as Villarreal provide the last test before the Barclays Premier League kicks off next week.

"It's been a while since I've played at the Liberty in a Swansea shirt, so I'm really looking forward to Saturday," said the 24-year-old.
"I obviously enjoyed my loan spell at the club and I've fond memories from my games at the Liberty. I remember the supporters were always singing and getting behind the players, and that's so important for us a club.
"It was exactly the same when I came back here with Tottenham - the fans were always behind the team no matter what the result, and that support will be vital again this season.
"Hopefully we can pick up another win against Villarreal and go into the season on a real positive note."

Tickets are still available for Saturday's friendly with Villarreal at the Liberty (3pm).
Tickets are priced £15 Adults and £5 concessions, and can be purchased online, in-person at the Ticket Office or by calling 0844 815 6665.
