Swans fans got to meet their heroes this week during a special half-term event at our city centre and Liberty Stadium club shops.

Members of Graham Potter’s squad popped into the club shops to sign autographs and pose for pictures with junior Jacks.

The event, held on Wednesday and Thursday afternoon, proved hugely popular with both players and fans.

Midfielder Matt Grimes said: “When I joined the club in 2015 one of the big factors was that Swansea City is a family club, and these events confirm that.

“It’s fantastic for us players to see the passion of the young fans who we met, and it was really nice for us to have a picture taken with them all.

“The young fans are the lifeblood of the club and we look forward to meeting them again in future events.”

Club ambassador Lee Trundle was also at the club shop to meet fans. He said: “The community is at the heart of our club and we love getting to meet supporters and chatting with them.

“We all remember what it was like meeting our heroes as a child, so events like these will stay with our young fans for a very long time.”

Swans defender Martin Olsson also enjoyed the event.

He added: “There was a great turn out for both days, and the players had a great time meeting supporters. It’s nice to see them and chat away from matchday and in a different setting – we look forward to the next event.”
