Harries hopes for bumper support

23rd April

Cian Harries has urged the Jack Army to come out and support Swansea City Under-23s in their final Premier League 2 game of the season against Sunderland at the Liberty Stadium tonight (7pm).

The young Swans complete their debut campaign in the top flight of development football as they welcome the Black Cats to SA1.

They will be looking to end the league season on a high by securing a top-four finish with victory.

It is the under-23s’ fourth Liberty match of the season. They have also faced Derby County and Manchester United there, as well as Charlton Athletic in the Checkatrade Trophy.

With entry free for supporters to see the Swans’ next generation in action, Harries hopes the final league game will attract a sizeable crowd.

“I’m really looking forward to playing at the stadium again. We’ve enjoyed playing there this season,” he said.

“Even though it’s not on the same scale as a first-team game, as young players, we thrive off the fans being there and it encourages us to kick on and win games of football.

“It would be great if as many fans as possible come down. Hopefully, we’ll put on a good performance and get a good result.”

Fans can watch Monday’s game at the Liberty Stadium for FREE, with kick-off at 7pm. Details HERE
