Jake Bidwell believes Saturday’s last-gasp victory over Wigan Athletic could spark another good run of form for Swansea City.

The Swans are the only team in the EFL with an unbeaten away record at this stage of the season, having won four and drawn three following their latest win at the DW Stadium.

Steve Cooper's currently sit in fourth place in the Championship table, on 28 points after 15 games, going into this weekend's trip to Sheffield Wednesday.

“We’ve been to some tough places already this season, so we feel like we’ve done really well to keep the unbeaten run going,” he said.

“We want to get another good run of form going so, hopefully, this is the start of it.

“We must go into every game at 100 per cent. The Brentford game showed that if you don’t, you’ll get punished in this league."

After making the long journey to Wigan last time out, Cooper's side are back on the road again this Saturday.

They visit Hillsborough to take on an Owls outfit now managed by former Swans skipper and manager Garry Monk.

Monk has led Wednesday to seventh in the Championship - four points behind the Swans - while they boast the best defensive record at home in the Championship.

And Bidwell expecting another tough test.

“It’s going to be another tough game on the road - Sheffield Wednesday are particularly strong at home," he added. "But we’ll continue our hard work throughout the week and, hopefully, put it into practice on Saturday.”
