Swansea City forward Jamal Lowe hopes to make history with Jamaica after returning to the international fold ahead of their CONCACAF Nations League semi-final clash with the United States on Thursday.

Lowe had missed out on recent international camps through injury, but played his part in a positive upturn in the Reggae Boyz’s recent journey with a goal which helped them qualify for last summer's Gold Cup.

They went on to reach the semi-finals of that tournament, eventually losing out to Mexico.

Jamaica defeated last season’s Nations League runners-up Canada in a two-legged quarter-final during the last international break, and now face off against holders United States in the last four.

The match will take place at the AT&T Stadium in Texas, with the winner set to meet either Panama or Mexico in the final on March 25 and Jamaica eyeing their first silverware.

“It feels really good to be back,” south Wales derby match clincher Lowe told the Jamaica national team's media.

“It’s been a while since I’ve been involved in a camp so it’s good to be back.

“It’s a great opportunity for the team to go and create history, and get a trophy. That would be amazing.

“Since I got injured, I’ve been trying to get back to full fitness for club and country, hopefully I can bring some goals to the team.

“I’ve been watching the games, and it’s been unbelievable, the transformation and the progression of the team has been great. I just want to help keep pushing us in the right direction.

“Everyone’s contributed, everyone is working hard towards the same goal. It doesn’t matter who the 11 on the field are, we’re all working towards the same ambitions."
