Jamal Lowe is facing up to a month on the sidelines after suffering a knee injury against Southampton.

The forward was forced off during the second half of the defeat to the Saints, and head coach Luke Williams has confirmed the Jamaica international – who was already set to be cup-tied for Thursday’s FA Cup clash with parent club Bournemouth - will not be available for the next few weeks.

Ben Cabango, Sam Parker, Josh Key, Azeem Abdulai and Liam Walsh all remain out for the Swans, but Yannick Bolasie is in contention for selection for the fourth-round tie at the Vitality Stadium.

“We have a few not available. Jamal Lowe and Ben Cabango are not available. Sam Parker, Key, Abdulai, and Walsh also,” said Williams.

“Jamal’s injury is not as bad as we’d first feared.  He’s a very good athlete, and he’s managed to be okay.

“It’ll be a few weeks, but that time out after a hyperextension and injury could have been months, so that’s a positive.

“The information we have is that we are probably looking at three or four weeks.

“We have Jerry Yates – who is a really good player – and Liam Cullen, who is a really good player.

“Cullen has been out of position, so it might give you the feeling that we don’t have another central striker, but he can play there.”

Williams also confirmed that Harrison Ashby came through his return from injury against the Saints with no issues, in what was his first appearance since November.

“I was pleased Ashby got on the pitch and didn’t have any adverse reactions, so he’s ready to go,” added the Swans boss.
