Jordi Amat salutes Leroy Fer's scoring form at Swansea City

7th October

Jordi Amat has saluted Leroy Fer's form in front of goal - and backed the midfielder to continue his scoring success with the Swans.
Fer, who joined the Swans from QPR on a permanent deal this summer following a successful loan spell last season, has struck four goals in his seven Premier League appearances.
The Dutchman's effort proved the difference during 1-0 win at Burnley on the opening day of the campaign, while he has also found the net during games with Leicester City, Chelsea and Liverpool.
And Amat was full of praise for the 26-year-old's scoring form.

"Leroy has proved to be one of the best players in our team," said the centre-back.
"He did well last season during his time on loan here, and that meant he didn't need any time to settle this season because he knew the players and the club.
"His goals have been one of the positive things of our season so far.
"We know how crucial his goal was at Burnley, while he put us ahead against Chelsea at the Liberty.
"His goals are well deserved because he works hard in training and in the gym every day.
"Hopefully he will get a lot more before the end of the season - I am sure he will.
"But it's not just his goals - as a defender it's great to see your midfielders helping out and doing whatever they can to stop the opposition scoring."

The Swans are without a game this weekend due to the international break, but start life under new manager Bob Bradley with a trip to Arsenal next week.
And despite sitting above the relegation zone only via goal difference, Amat is confident the Swans will start progressing up the table.
"Obviously we would like to see ourselves in a better position," added the Spaniard. "We have worked hard and pushed the best teams in the division, but we must improve.
"We have a strong team and we must be positive and play with confidence - then we will get the results."
