Josh Sheehan looking to be a big hit at Swansea City

15th July

Josh Sheehan proved Swansea City's very own version of a YouTube sensation last season - and now he's looking to be an even bigger hit.
Sheehan's stunning 40-yard volley stole the show in the FAW Youth Cup Under-19s semi-final win over Cardiff City last March.
With over 81,000 views, it has been a popular video via our official Swans TV YouTube channel.
Now the 19-year-old midfielder is hoping to be a hit with the first-team following his inclusion in Garry Monk's squad for the tour of America.

Reflecting on his wonder goal, Sheehan jokes: "It wasn't bad was it.
"I couldn't believe it when I saw the number of hits on YouTube. I get people talking to me all the time about that goal.
"It was a great moment for me, but now I want to push on and impress in training enough to get some game-time in the friendlies.
"On top of that, I just want to learn as much as I can."
Lessons have come aplenty as Sheehan goes up against the senior pros during their triple training sessions in Chicago, while the squad are now continuing their tour in Milwaukee.
Having been included in training sessions back home in Swansea following Monk's appointment as manager in February, Sheehan was also included in the travelling squad for matches at the tail end of the campaign.
And he's already feeling the benefits.

"Playing with the likes of Brits (Leon Britton) has been a great experience for me. He has spoken to me a lot throughout training, as do the other senior players," added Sheehan.
"They don't take it easy on you because you are younger. They want you to learn quickly and I feel I have. The tempo is faster and it's more physical, so you have to think a lot quicker than when you are playing in the Under-21s."
Thinking quickly played a major assist in his wonder goal - something which he can relate to with Jonjo Shelvey following his 47-yard strike against Aston Villa in April.
"Jonjo spoke to me the other day about my goal," added Sheehan. "It bounced nicely so I thought I'd just hit it as the keeper was off his line.
"Then for Jonjo to score his goal in the Premier League was amazing. It was an important goal too.
"I'm sure people will be talking about that goal for a long time."
With over 81,000 views, Sheehan's super strike will fondly be remembered for some time too.
