Nathan Dyer has urged the Swans to use their victory over West Brom as a catalyst to build momentum in their bid to rise out of the Premier League’s dropzone.

Paul Clement’s side climbed off bottom spot at the weekend thanks to a 1-0 victory over West Brom courtesy of Wilfried Bony’s late strike.

Now the Swans host leaders Manchester City, knowing a draw could be enough to move them out of the bottom three.

“There was a big sense of relief in the changing room on Saturday because we needed the win to propel us up the table,” said Dyer.

“It also offers us some momentum and an opportunity to build on it in our next game.

“All we need to focus on right now is getting three points. The performance was good against West Brom – it was a tough game in which we put in a lot of hard work – but three points was the all important thing.

“We have to go into our next game with no fear. We have confidence from our win over West Brom.

“Manchester City are doing very well, so we will have to ensure we are concentrating for the full game and then take the chances we create.”
