Swansea City goalkeeper Lewis Webb has joined Dublin club Shelbourne on loan for their 2022 season, subject to international clearance.

Webb, 20, has been a member of the Swans first-team squad over the last two seasons, and will now get the opportunity for regular game time.

Shelbourne - who are managed by former Blackburn, Chelsea, Newcastle and Fulham winger Damien Duff - were promoted to the League of Ireland Premier Division last season.

Webb, who is under contract until 2024, joined Swansea from Merthyr Town in the summer of 2019. His loan move includes the option of a recall during the summer transfer window.

The Wales Under-21 international previously spent time in the youth ranks at Cardiff and Newport, as well at Welsh League Division Three side Chepstow Town.
