Live Swans commentary

16th August

Swansea City has signed a live commentary deal with BBC Cymru Wales.
On BBC Radio Wales, there will be FM coverage of the Swans' Barclays Premier League fixture in the city and immediate vicinity - starting with champions Manchester United this Saturday.
Meanwhile, BBC Radio Cymru will broadcast a comprehensive selection of Swansea games to the south west and selected matches across the whole of South Wales.
A number of games will also be broadcast by both stations across Wales, including the first South Wales derby on November 3 at Cardiff City.
BBC Radio Wales has been granted permission by the Premier League to broadcast every Swansea City game, home and away, on FM in the Swansea area (which covers the city and approximately stretches east to Neath, west to Carmarthen, and north to Llandovery). The rights do not extend to broadcasting outside this area, unless that game is also on BBC Radio 5Live or 5Live Sports Extra. The rights restrictions do not apply for Europa League, FA Cup and Capital One Cup games.
Meanwhile, BBC Radio Cymru has been granted permission to broadcast Swansea games across the whole of South Wales on FM. Again, these rights restrictions apply only to Premier League games and do not apply if the game is being broadcast on 5Live or 5Live Sports Extra.
Radio Cymru's broadcast plans for matches can be viewed each week on the website www.bbc.co.uk/radiocymru  and clicking on "Blog".
Meanwhile, the Swans have agreed to a commercial radio deal with Swansea Sound to continue their live commentary of home and away games in the Barclays Premier League and domestic cup competitions.
