Kyle Bartley was on the score sheet as he helped Leeds United to a 2-1 win over Barnsley in the Championship.
The centre-back struck his second goal for Garry Monk's side as he bundled home a corner to edge Leeds ahead.
Former Swans forward Pablo Hernandez doubled the lead before Barnsley grabbed a consolation.
Marvin Emnes started as Blackburn went down 1-0 at Birmingham City.
The Dutchman played for 74 minutes before being replaced as Blackburn into the relegation zone.



In League One, Connor Roberts made his Bristol Rovers debut as he featured against Kenji Gorre's Northampton.
And it was a winning start for Roberts, who played the full 90 minutes against the Cobblers in a 3-2 victory.
Gorre came off the bench in the 65th minute and set up Alex Revell, who made it 2-2, but Rovers snatched a last-gasp winner to move them up to seventh.
Josh Vickers kept his third clean sheet of the campaign in Barnet's 0-0 home draw with Leyton Orient.
The 20-year-old made his tenth appearance for the Bees, who sit three points above the dropzone.
Liam Shephard and Ryan Hedges couldn't prevent Yeovil from going down 4-1 at leaders Plymouth.
Hedges was introduced just before the hour, while Shephard made way ten minutes later as the Glovers were well beaten at Home Park.
In France, Bafe Gomis played the full 90 minutes in Marseille's 1-1 draw at Angers.
The result leaves Marseille on nine points from their opening eight games.
Meanwhile, Franck Tabanou, Matt Grimes, Adam King and Josh Sheehan failed to feature for their respective loan clubs.
