Kyle Bartley kept a clean sheet as Leeds United climbed to fourth in the Championship following a 2-0 victory over Aston Villa at Elland Road.
Bartley played the full 90 minutes, while fellow Swans loanee Matt Grimes was an unused substitute.
It also proved a positive weekend for Bafe Gomis as the French striker scored his eighth goal of the season in Marseille's 3-0 victory over Nancy.
In League Two, Ryan Hedges was amongst the goals as Yeovil Town beat Crawley Town 5-0, while Liam Shephard played 45 minutes for the Glovers before being substituted.
Yeovil's five-star victory saw them climb into the play-off positions in the English fourth tier.
Despite his goalscoring form of recent weeks, Josh Sheehan wasn't able to find the back of the net as Newport County were held to a 0-0 draw by Plymouth Argyle in the second round of the FA Cup.
Elsewhere, Marvin Emnes (Blackburn) and Franck Tabanou (Granada) were unused substitutes for their sides, while Connor Roberts was not involved in Bristol Rovers' shock FA Cup defeat to non-league Barrow.
Kenji Gorre saw Northampton's match with Stourbridge postponed, while Adam King's Southend are in action on Tuesday against Oxford United.
