Adam King scored his third goal in seven games as Crewe were beaten 3-1 at home by Swindon Town.
The Swans loanee put Crewe ahead on the hour mark with a fine 25-yard drive, but Steve Davis' were pegged back two minutes later before two late strikes handed Swindon victory.
Stephen Kingsley also featured for the full 90 minutes as he made his second appearance for Crewe, who slip to the bottom of League One following this defeat.
Crewe are next in action on Saturday when they host Millwall.
Right-back Connor Roberts was involved in an action-packed game in League Two which included six goals and a red card.
The 19-year-old made his eighth appearance of the season as Yeovil were beaten 4-2 by Morecambe at Huish Park.
The Glovers led 2-0 at the break despite being a man down, but the visitors clinched victory with a storming second-half performance which saw them score four goals.
Yeovil, who slipped to second-bottom in League Two, host Wimbledon AFC on Saturday.
In the Scottish Championship, Alex Samuel made his debut in senior football as he came off the bench in Morton's 4-2 win at Livingston.
The young striker was introduced in the 78th minute as Morton, who host Dumbarton on Saturday, rose to fourth in the table.
