Eder and Franck Tabanou tasted victory in Ligue 1 as they helped Lille and St Etienne's hopes of Champions League qualification.
Portuguese striker Eder played in a six-goal thriller as Lille won 4-2 at Ajaccio. He played the full game as Lille moved to within four points of third-placed Lyon.
St Etienne remain two points off Lyon following their narrow 1-0 win at Bastia, with Tabanou coming on as a substitute in the 86th minute.
In England's Championship, Matt Grimes started in Blackburn's disappointing 2-0 home defeat to Huddersfield.
Grimes made his 11th appearance and his seventh start for Blackburn, who sit nine points above the relegation zone with four games remaining.
There were three Swans involved as Bristol Rovers and Yeovil met in League Two.
And it was Oliver McBurnie who had the bragging rights as he featured as a late substitute in the 2-1 win which keeps them in the final automatic spot.
Connor Roberts and Liam Shephard both played the full 90 minutes for the Glovers, whose goal came via ex Swans striker Leroy Lita.
Daniel Alfei played the full match as Mansfield kept up their hopes of claiming a play-off spot following a 5-0 win over Notts County.

The 20-year-old striker made his 28th appearance as he was introduced for the final ten minutes.
