Borja scored his second goal of the season as the striker fired home a penalty to help Malaga to a 2-0 win over Real Sociedad in La Liga.

The on-loan Swansea City striker saw another spot-kick saved in the second half before Chory Castro stroked home the rebound to give the Spanish side their third win of the season.

In this country, Matt Grimes played his 19th game in League One as the midfielder got another 90 minutes under his belt for Northampton Town. The Cobblers were beaten 5-1 away at Oldham Athletic.

Elsewhere, Jordi Amat was suspended and therefore did not feature for Real Betis as the side lost 1-0 at home to Atletico Madrid.

Jefferson Montero was also not in the squad as Getafe played out a goalless draw with Eibar, while Connor Roberts was not involved in Middlesbrough’s 2-0 Championship victory over Ipswich Town.

Keston Davies was an unused substitute as Yeovil Town lost 2-0 at home to Lincoln City in League Two.

And striker Botti Biabi didn’t feature as Hamilton lost 1-0 at home to St. Johnstone in the SPL.
