Lotto winner handed Christmas boost

It will be a merry Christmas for one lucky Swans fan after she bagged herself a financial boost in the Swans Lotto.

Jamie Boland, 34, recently won £2,875 on Swans Lotto after five of her numbers came out in a Saturday draw.

The Swansea local, who started playing Swans Lotto in August, says that one of the main reasons she decided to get involved with the Lotto was to support the Swansea City Community Trust.

"The fact that 26 per cent [of every purchase] goes back into the Swansea City Community Trust is what swung it for me," said the lucky winner.

"At least I knew that some of the money would be going back into the local area.

"I say to people at work, who are season ticket holders, that it's worth doing because it is putting something back into the community."

Jamie also says that since signing up to the Lotto, she has won small amounts on a regular basis, and that the whole process was simple and easy to follow.

She added: "It was really easy to receive my winnings. All I had to do was send them an e-mail with my photo ID, and then they transferred the money into my account.

"I've already spent my winnings on Christmas presents. It's a nice amount of money to win at an expensive time of the year!"
