Lukasz looks to Liberty factor
Lukasz Fabianski has pinpointed an improvement in home form as a key factor in Swansea City’s season – and the Jack Army will be pivotal to their hopes.
Carlos Carvalhal’s side recorded a memorable victory over Liverpool last Monday in a tense encounter at the Liberty.
It was only a third triumph on home soil from 12 attempts this term in the top flight, but one which Carvalhal and co will take huge confidence from as they battle to beat the drop.
And with Fabianski’s former club Arsenal next up at the Liberty on Tuesday night, the Polish stopper revealed the squad’s determination to turn their form around in SA1.
“If I’m honest, every single home game for the rest of the season will be big,” he said.
“We’ve struggled at home so far this season and it will be massive for us to get ourselves out of this position.
“In games like the Liverpool match, you need your fans to really support you. You could see that the longer the game lasted, the more we defended and we needed that atmosphere to carry us until the very last minute.
“It really was crucial in helping the team hold on to win the game.
“We’ll be up for the game against Arsenal, and with the support we get from our fans it will give us a chance to get another positive result.”
General sale tickets have now sold out for this game. Tickets are, however, available via our hospitality packages. Click HERE for details.
