Martin Atkinson will take charge of the Swans’ Premier League fixture against Burnley at Turf Moor on Saturday (3pm).

Atkinson, from Leeds, will be the man in the middle for a Swans game for the first time this season.

The 46-year-old’s most recent Swans appointment came in their 1-0 victory over Everton at the Liberty in May, while he also took charge of the 1-1 draw with the Toffees in November 2016.

Atkinson has refereed 327 matches in the Premier League, issuing 1,091 bookings and 53 red cards.

After being elevated to the Fifa list of referees in 2006, Atkinson officiated the 2011 FA Cup final, the 2013 Championship play-off final and the 2014 League Cup final.

He will be assisted at Turf Moor by Stephen Child and Peter Kirkup, while Lee Mason is the fourth official.
