Martyn Margetson departs Swansea City

Swansea City can confirm that first team goalkeeping coach Martyn Margetson has left the club.

As is the case with a new managerial appointments, head coach Russell Martin has brought in a new backroom team – including goalkeeping coach Dean Thornton.

As a result, it was felt best by all parties for Margetson to move on amicably.

Swansea City would like to place on record its sincere thanks to Martyn for his fantastic work during a two-year spell at the Liberty, including helping Freddie Woodman to win the Championship Golden Glove award at the end of last season.

Martyn has two sons who are with the club’s academy and we look forward to welcoming him back at the stadium in the future as well as wishing him well in his future career.
