Michu getting closer

10th March
Michu is ready to give the Swans a major boost ahead of Saturday's crunch Barclays Premier League clash with West Brom at the Liberty Stadium (3pm).
The Spaniard has missed the last 10 weeks with an ankle injury that needed an operation and a further injection to repair.
But last season's top scorer has now returned to training with Head Coach Garry Monk hopeful that the 27-year-old attacking midfielder can force his way into contention for the visit of Pepe Mel's Baggies.
"Michu joined the squad for training on Friday and Saturday,'' explained Swans physio Richard Buchanan.
"He will do gym and pool work for the next two days as part of his graded return, before joining the group again for training on Wednesday.
"He has had a good response since having the injection a fortnight ago. We have still got to manage his return carefully, but he is champing at the bit to play as soon as possible.''
Midfielder Pablo Hernandez is also back in training after limping off against Crystal Palace with a tight hamstring, while Jonjo Shelvey is expected to return to full training on Friday following his own hamstring problem.
The Swans are currently four points and three places ahead of 17th placed West Brom.
