Michu returns to the Liberty

Former Swansea City star Michu was given a hero's welcome as he returned to the Liberty Stadium over the weekend.

The forward scored 28 goals in 67 appearances for the Swans after joining the club from Rayo Vallecano in 2012.

The latter stages of Michu's Swans career were ruined by persistent ankle trouble which would eventually force him to retire at the age of 31.

But he will not be forgotten in SA1, thanks largely to his sparkling contribution in the 2012-13 season when he scored 22 goals in all competitions and helped the Swans win their first major trophy.

He spoke to swanseacity.com about those glorious days - and told us how he would like to come back to the club in the future.
