Michu thanks fans for ovation

29th March

Michu has thanked Swans supporters for the rousing ovation he received during the 3-0 home win over Norwich City.
The Spaniard made his second consecutive start as Garry Monk's side picked up a first win in seven Barclays Premier League games.
Two goals from Jonathan de Guzman put the Swans 2-0 up at the break before Wayne Routledge put the result beyond doubt to move the Swans seven points clear of third-bottom Cardiff.
All boxes were ticked with three points and a clean sheet, while for Michu it marked another step in his return from an ankle injury.
The Spaniard featured for 63 minutes in the midweek draw at Arsenal while he featured for another ten minutes this time around.
And when Michu was replaced by fellow countryman Pablo Hernandez with 17 minutes left, the Jack Army got on their feet to sing the Spaniard's name as he made way.

He said: "I'm very happy and thankful for the ovation I had.
"I love the fans and to play in front of them at the Liberty is always a great pleasure.
"I am building my minutes and I was happy to get my first start in midweek at the Emirates - I have good memories of playing there having scored there last season.
"It was a good point at Arsenal so to get another start and a victory against Norwich was very pleasing.
"It was like a final for us, so it was so important for us to win.
"To score three goals against a direct rival with a clean sheet makes it a very good day for us.
"We are in a better position now and we have a couple of days to celebrate this win before we concentrate on Hull."
