Monk: Let's finish the season on a high

22nd May

Garry Monk has called on his players to finish a record-breaking season on a high when they face Crystal Palace on Sunday (3pm).
The Swans will ultimately end the 2014-15 campaign in eighth place - their highest finish since winning promotion to the top-flight in 2011.
Monk's men have broken numerous other records along the way during his first full season in charge at the Liberty Stadium, with the attention now turning to a fifth year in the Barclays Premier League come August.
But the Swans finish the current campaign at Selhurst Park this weekend and Monk wants his players to end the season just how they started - with a victory.

"I thought they (Palace) were excellent against Liverpool last weekend and they are a threat going forward with their attacking players," he said.
"It will be a difficult game, they are still fighting to move up a couple of places in the table and we're expecting a tough contest.
"We had a fantastic start to the season and have been the most consistent that I can remember in this league.
"But we want to try and finish on a high - we have a lot of fans going travelling to support us and to finish with a win is always nice."
With the season nearing its finale this weekend, the ensuing summer will of course bring its usual transfer activity at most clubs and Monk insists that he will be looking to add to his squad.
"We have to strengthen," he said. "The transition will always be players coming and going and at this moment in time we are still shortlisting players.
"We have quality already here so it's just about adding to that and creating that depth of squad, but ultimately we look for the players that will suit us."
