Morgan Gibbs-White wants Swansea City to continue to show their battling qualities when they head to face Wycombe Wanderers on Saturday.

The unbeaten Swans head to Adams Park for the first meeting between the sides in 13 years, looking to build on a solid start to the campaign.

Steve Cooper’s side have taken four points from games against Preston and Birmingham, and will face a Chairboys side desperate to get their first points on the board following promotion from League One.

Gareth Ainsworth’s side will be keen to make the most of home advantage, and midfielder Gibbs-White knows Swansea City will have to be prepared to do the nuts and bolts of the game well if they are to continue a positive start to the new season.

“I can't see Wycombe being too much different to Birmingham in terms of the way they play,” said the 20-year-old.

“Again, we've got to go and battle, be strong, and make sure we win the first and second balls.

“We can't go there and play their game, we've got to try to stick to our game and play the way the gaffer wants us to play.

“If we keep building on that, working together and making our connection stronger, I feel like we can go places.

“There’s plenty of quality in this squad, but we know we also have to be prepared to work hard and battle.”
