HOW TO GET THERE

St James' Park is situated in Newcastle city centre, just off the A1.

By train

The nearest mainline station is Newcastle. From here you can change for the short metro underground journey to St James' Park direct.

By car

Leave the M5 at junction 4a and joing the M42. At junction 11 continue forward onto the A42, then join M1 by staying in the right hand lane. Leave the M1 at junction 32 to join the M18, then take junction 2 to join the A1(M). From the A1(M), after Washington Services and Junction 65, the motorway divides - keep left following the signs for the A1. Take the centre or right hand lane and continue following signs for Newcastle and Airport. Pass the Angel of the North on the right and continue for a further 3 miles before turning off left on the A184 signed Gateshead/Newcastle (Centre). Continue for 1.5 miles then take the right hand lane signed A189 to Newcastle. This takes you over the Redheugh Bridge which leads into St. James' Boulevard. After 0.5 miles turn left at Gallowgate roundabout and stadium is on the right.

By air

The nearest airport is Newcastle International, located some 6 miles north of the city. St. James' Park can be reached by bus, taxi or Metro Link (underground). The stadium has its own Metro station (St James) which can be reached in approximately 25 minutes from the airport.
