Newport loan move for Swansea City midfielder Josh Sheehan
8th August
Swansea City youngster Josh Sheehan has joined League Two side Newport County on loan until January 21.
The 21-year-old, who made his first-team debut in a League Cup win over Rotherham in August 2014, will look to gain valuable game-time with the Exiles.
The Wales Under-21s midfielder has clocked up 29 senior appearances - scoring twice - during two loan spells with Yeovil Town.
He now links up with Newport, managed by former Swans loanee Warren Feeney, with Sheehan available to feature in Tuesday night's EFL Cup tie with MK Dons.
The youngster becomes the tenth Swans player to go out on loan this summer, following Bafe Gomis (Marseille), Kyle Bartley, Matt Grimes (both Leeds), Adam King (Southend), Ryan Hedges, Liam Shephard (both Yeovil), Josh Vickers (Barnet), Oliver Davies (Kilmarnock) and Kenji Gorre (Northampton) in clinching temporary moves.
