Oli back for Blades clash

Oli McBurnie is back in the selection mix for Swansea City's Championship clash with Sheffield United on Saturday (5.30pm).

The striker has been struck by illness in recent weeks, sitting out the FA Cup win at Aston Villa before a fever meant he was a late absentee from the draw at Preston last weekend.

But McBurnie - the Swans top scorer with 10 goals to his name - has trained this week and is in manager Graham Potter's thoughts for the clash with the high-flying Blades.

Midfielder Tom Carroll returned to training earlier this week following a hip injury, but he will not be risked this weekend, while Martin Olsson is out for the long term with a ruptured Achilles.

"We are looking good, it is only Martin (who has not been training)," said Potter.

"Tom has been out with the group, Oli has been back training so we have had good numbers and it has been a good week.

"With Oli it is one of those things where he was ill last week, a bit low, and then he has picked something else up.

"He was with us for the last match and overnight felt a bit worse, but we have been careful with him at the start of the week and he has trained the last two or three days so he should be okay.

"I think it is a bit too soon for Tom, he just needs a bit more time to build his fitness up, but it is good to have him back training with the group."
