Pablo: We deserved to win

20th February

Pablo Hernandez felt the Swans deserved to beat Napoli in the first leg of their Europa League clash at the Liberty.
The visitors came quickly out the blocks, Marek Hamsik forcing Michel Vorm into a fine save before Nathan Dyer and Wilfried Bony were denied by Napoli 'keeper Rafael.
The Swans looked the more likely to take advantage after the break but substitute Pepe Reina produced saves to deny Ashley Williams and Wayne Routledge as the visitors held on for a draw.
The two sides now meet again in Naples next week for a place in the last 16 of the competition.
And Hernandez felt that the Swans should be heading to Italy with a first-leg advantage.

"I think we deserved to win the game," he said. "We had a lot of chances to score, but that's football sometimes.
"The most important thing was the clean sheet, and the fact that Napoli didn't score. Next week's game in Naples is now 50-50 for both teams.
"The team is happy, and I think the fans are as well. We perhaps deserved more but it was a good game for us. We played very well, and produced some great football.
"We looked at their videos this week in training and we knew it was important to play quickly.
"We had a lot of possession and made a lot of chances - but it is important to take those."
Meanwhile, the Swans now head to Liverpool on Sunday as they return to Premier League action.
And Hernandez believes they can spring a surprise at Anfield if they produce a similar performance to the one shown against Napoli.
"This weekend is very important for us," he said. "The team needs the points for confidence, but it will be a difficult game.
"Liverpool are very strong at home this year, and are only a few points off the top of the league.
"But if we play this football then we can win."
