PAST MEETINGS: Tottenham v Swans

26th February

Tottenham 3-2 Swansea
Barclays Premier League - Wednesday, 4 March 2015
Spurs edged a five-goal thriller at White Hart Lane in a game overshadowed by the collapse of Bafetimbi Gomis.
The French striker collapsed with no players around him just moments after Spurs had taken an early lead through Nacer Chadli.
The Swans man was conscious as he left the pitch after treatment but could play no further part, while Ki Sung-Yueng levelled for the visitors before half-time.
Two goals in nine minutes from Ryan Mason and Andros Townsend put Spurs back in control, but Gylfi Sigurdsson volleyed home to set up a tense finish.
And the Swans almost claimed a point when Federico Fernandez saw his header somehow clawed away by a fine save from Hugo Lloris.

TOTTENHAM: Lloris, Walker, Dier, Vertonghen, Rose (Davies, 78), Bentaleb, Mason, Townsend (Dembele, 64), Eriksen, Chadli, Kane (Soldado, 76).

SWANS: Fabianski, Naughton, Fernandez, Williams, Taylor, Ki Sung-Yueng, Cork, Shelvey (Montero, 73), Sigurdsson, Gomis (Oliveira, 12), Routledge.

Jan Vertonghen's second-half goal was the difference as Spurs edged past Swansea at White Hart Lane.
The Swans defended well throughout and came close when Chico Flores shot over the bar after a corner wasn't cleared by the Spurs defence.
But Tottenham upped the tempo as the game wore on and broke the deadlock in the final quarter as Kyle Walker's free-kick found its way to Vertonghen and he coolly slotted past Gerhard Tremmel.

TOTTENHAM: Lloris, Vertonghen, Gallas, Naughton, Walker, Dempsey (Sigurdsson, 70), Lennon, Sandro, Adebayor (Townsend, 72), Defoe, Dembele (Parker, 90).

Roberto Soldado scored the only goal of the game as Spurs secured victory at White Hart Lane.
The home side dominated for long periods and came close to taking the lead when Ashley Williams headed against his own post.
Paulinho also saw a close-range shot blocked as the Swans defence held firm, but the deadlock was broken ten minutes into the second half as Andros Townsend was tripped by Jonjo Shelvey in the box and Soldado stepped up to score his second goal in as many games.
Chico Flores saw a late volley tipped over as the Swans rallied but Spurs held on for a deserved win.

TOTTENHAM: Lloris, Walker, Rose, Vertonghen, Dawson, Paulinho, Capoue, Townsend (Sandro, 88), Dembele (Sigurdsson, 64), Chadli, Soldado (Defoe, 81).

Tottenham 3-1 Swansea
Barclays Premier League - Sunday, 1 April 2012
Two goals from Emmanuel Adebayor helped Tottenham to a 3-1 home win over Swansea at White Hart Lane.
Rafael van der Vaart opened the scoring for the hosts as he side-footed in a loose ball after Ashley Williams had initially cleared a cross from the left.
However, the visitors replied well after the break and on-loan midfielder Gylfi Sigurdsson volleyed Swansea level before Adebayor headed Spurs back in front.
And the Togo striker added his second late on as he headed home another cross - this time from Aaron Lennon - to seal victory for Spurs.

TOTTENHAM: Friedel, Kaboul, Gallas, Walker, Assou-Ekotto (Rose, 88), Bale, Parker, Van der Vaart (Livermore, 85), Modric, Sandro (Lennon, 71), Adebayor.

SWANS: Vorm, Rangel, Monk, Williams, Taylor, Britton, Sinclair, Routledge (Dyer, 71), Allen (Gower, 90), Sigurdsson, Graham (Moore, 79).
